STREET MACRO PART 6 - THE AK DIFFUSER again

So part 6 already, the final one and I will now revert to normal blogs. As in the end it’s not about what I do but what I experience and photograph. It doesn’t really matter if it’s on my street or not. The AK diffuser came in the mail. It took a while to properly setup, but I think I got the sweet spot. The main thing is the light it produces is just lovely and more so, due to the enclosed nature of the diffuser more light hits the insets, so I can photograph with a lower flash setting.

Nothing much more to say really. Just a bunch of photos. I haven’t been photographing much after the last three weeks due to bad weather, work and just not the right mindset. The thing now to improve is actually the post processing which can be quite difficult with macro photography, due to shadows vs highlights. Finding the balance between good contrast of shiny bugs vs blown highlights and an overall pleasing image. That is the process I guess and I love it, so will try to improve and get more and more experienced as I just started.

Anyway there you have it! All photos shot with the OM-1 and the Olympus M.Zuiko 60mm macro lens and the Raynox 250 filter attached. Click to view larger in a light box and navigate with mouse or arrow keys. Enjoy!
