Revisiting street photography, where to start?

I really like street photography and did it quite a lot in the early days, just going out and seeing what can happen. The thing with street photography is the moment, being there and just do it! This is where I struggle, the moment, the people, the wait or being assertive. It’s hard, but can be rewarding as well.

Where birding, macro and landscape is a waiting game, street photography for me is the exact opposite. That is why it’s challenging and fun! However I want to be more mindful of compositions, depth and overall feel - not just capture street life.

I thought I could rekindle my street photography with a revisit of some rainy days in Girona, Spain. I was there in the old city center when on a cycling holiday, but never not bringing the camera, right? So there in the evening was an opportunity to do some street photopgraphy. Re-editing these hopefully gives me some insight in how and where I want to take my street photography.

This will be a longer project I think as time is the issue here. Time in terms of going out and doing it as where I live, there is not much going on. So going to a bigger city would be preferable. Will see … lets share some photos and let me know how I can improve.
