The San Francisco trip - Yosemite National Park

After 5 days in San Francisco it was time to pack and head towards Yosemite National Park. The drive it self was quite boring, but when entering the park and especially Yosemite Valley we were amazed. The grand wild river, the landscape and the mighty El Capitan. That huge monolith rock formation is just amazing!
The weather was cloudy and misty this first day, but we enjoy the walk towards Bridalveil Fall and standing at the bottom of the waterfall getting soaking wet! What an experience!
Moving on and arriving at the open parking space with a view of El Capitan, we could see the climbers climbing as ants towards the top. The first day we saw the climbers in their portaledge getting ready for the night. Something I would have serious doubts I would ever dare to do!
The second day we had beautiful sunny weather and explored the valley and hiking around the Mirror Lake trail, encountering bear poo and thinking "ok, the bear is long gone" we hoped.
At the end of the day ending up with a very tasty pizza at one of the lodges and seeing the sky getting yellow and purple! Time to go and see the sunset at the Tunnel view viewpoint and of course photograph this epic view of Yosemite Valley.
