Time for a change, no macro, but street birding with OM-1 and 300PRO + TC2.0

A short one this time. I still have some cool macro photos, but with spring in full effect I could not resist to find some birds. This time it was not with the OM-System 150-400PRO but with the “oldie” Olympus 300PRO with the TC2.0. Still amazed on the resolution that the TC2.0 still gives you at a bizar 1200mm FF equiv.
The reason for taking the Olympus 300PRO was that it was quite windy and the OM-System 150-400PRO with its big hood is like a sail, so this was just a simple small outing just outside my street. Basically the “walk 15 minutes in any direction and photograph birds” challenge. See here as well
The nice thing of spring is that many of the reed warblers and similar birds are signing and more visible to photograph than later in the year. So my first catch was that, a common reed warbler (Kleine Karekiet).
Walking through the meadow tree area I noticed a Coal Tit (Koolmees) flying around that was looking for food for its nest. So this one posed for a second before going into its nest. It was quite dark shadow, so still amazed how this came out.
Heading back home (remember all in 15 minute walk from my house) I encounter a Ring rosed parakeet (Halsbandparkiet). These are multiplying like crazy, there are so much more than last year. These are exotic birds that really don’t belong here but are released/escaped from capture years ago. Still a pretty picture. Green, green, green.
All in all there you go, all photos with the Olympus 300PRO and 2.0TC. Let me know what you think and don’t hesitate to leave a comment or an e-mail. Click to view larger in a light box and navigate with mouse or arrow keys. Enjoy!
