Revisit a close encounter with a fox

Talking about procrastination I’ve been putting off photography for a while now. Don’t know why, just not into it or not taking the time to plan trips. It’s not the end of the world, but if you love what you do, you need to make time. My time is now taken by cycling and training. Maybe I will do something with both, photography and cycling - two birds in one stone.

So this blog is a revisit to a really close encounter with a fox a couple years ago. I obviously knew that I had taken these photos, but never really revisit them to see that there were more cool shots than only the two that I had in mind. So there you go, always revisit photos in your library. New insights, software or just a new perspective on photography can transform your photos.

In this instance a couple of years ago I was hiking in the dunes in search of foxes where I saw this one casually walking by and taking a nap in the sun. What I realised is that this fox was one of two I saw earlier, but both ran away. When the fox allowed me to move in closer for some cool shots I saw that the foxes where in a fight as this one had a fresh wound, small one.

It was a really special moment to respect each other space but still be able to come fairly close and get these shots. I hope I can repeat this in coming fall as I haven’t really seen foxes in the dunes lately.

So there you have it! All shot with my Olympus EM-1 and 40-150F2.8. And don’t hesitate to leave a comment or an e-mail. Click to view larger in a light box and navigate with mouse or arrow keys. Enjoy!
