Spring’s green leaves, a perfect hiding spot for all birds

Spring’s green leaves, a perfect hiding spot for all birds. Birds making nests, birds that are migrating or just taking a rest. Especially in the area of Texel, one of the Islands in the Waddenzee (blog post incoming). This blog is more about the abundance of birds in my area at the moment and not only the ones you expect, but even more than I knew - thanks to Merlin birding app and the sound recording feature (game changer).

So spring is almost over, which I struggle with, each year it seems that I wanted to do so much more photographing in spring. This time I did go out more in my own area which is as good thing as I discovered more birds here, more species that is. Although I did not get to photograph them yet, it is a promise to get out more to get these (especially two) birds - an AIcterine warbler - Spotvogel and a Common redstart - Gekraagde roodstaart. Let’s see if I can deliver on that promise.

For now a few cool shots where birds are hiding in the fresh foliage in the trees and bushes over here. Even captured a treecreeper - Boomkruiper - that was very willing to stay around me and gave me the oppertunity to really observe its behaviour which was cool. Usually I am hiking, taking photos and moving on - this time I could really take my time and I liked it. Next blog I will share more! Furthermore some Rose-ringed parakeets - Halsbandparkieten showed up as well as a new one for me a Garden warbler - Tuinfluiter.
