Paris Revisited in Chrome

Since my previous post, Evenings in the Ardèche, I have been going through some previous shot Fujifilm photos. As my post processing and workflow are now adjusted to Fujifilm files together with much better Lightroom support, I'm rediscovering photos that I discarded earlier.

This time I'm back in Paris, the city that really shines when using Classic Chrome. This film is one of my favourites, but be careful with this type of film simulation, as it can quickly become a gimmick and you start to use it everywhere. However in this case it really shines, due to the lightness, colours and the architecture in Paris.

These few photos really inspire me to go back to Paris and take my time and seriously photograph this city. Paris is so interesting, no matter the weather. Sunny, as these photos with the lightness and glow of the Classic Chrome simulation look. Or the complete opposite with rainy, moody and dark weather. In that case I'd probably opt for a more contrasty look, say starting with the Velvia simulation and work further from there.

These photos were shot on a X-T1 with the 10-24mm mainly and some with the 35mmF1.4. Do you have a preference for chrome or specific thoughts, leave a comment and lets discuss. Or want to know more on how I edited these photos, let me know and I will post a Lightroom blog next time.
